Vibrators are among the simplest devices used to facilitate the discharge of material stored in a silo or container. They are mounted on the discharge cone using welded brackets. Their size depends on the angle or size of the silo discharge cone and on the type of material being stored.

In principle, electric and pneumatic vibrators are used for these applications. In both cases, the vibration force can be adjusted. For electric vibrators, the adjustment is made by rotating the eccentric weight, while for pneumatic vibrators, it is adjusted by changing the pressure of the supplied air. The vibrators can be controlled automatically via a central control system or manually using a push button.
